On February 11, 2011, I created two new pieces that are iterations of the Time installation for the exhibition She Wasn't Expecting This at the Chicago Art Department.
Tick, Tick is a linear piece made of clock hands and tubing strung together in random groupings. It represents the western perception of the linearity of time. Each grouping is a gathering of moments that signifies a memory or section of time passed.
Big Bang is a chaotic piece of clockhands radiating out from a central axis. It is inspired by scientific representations of the Big Bang, the origin of our universe and the beginning of time.
